All courses are taught by certified Arizona Game and Fish Department Volunteer Educators, with class locations and lengths determined by the instructors. Typical courses range from one day to weekend sessions.
The Arizona Trapper Education Online course is fully online, and upon successful completion, you’ll receive an Arizona Trapper Education certificate, a temporary card to print, and a graduation certificate mailed to you based on your registration details.<\/p>\n\n \n

There are multiple options available to you to obtain your trapper education certification. We accept all state\u2019s trapper education certifications in lieu of an Arizona trapper education course including the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (AFWA) trapper education course.<\/p>\n\n \n

Volunteer Galaxy Digital Page<\/a> We encourage you to take an Arizona specific trapper education course. This will assist you in becoming familiar with Arizona specific rules, species, and best management practices. There are three options for an Arizona specific course. You can complete the course through a home study, a classroom course offered by any of the Department volunteer trapper education instructors, or through an online training. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Students registering for an Arizona Game and Fish Department Trapper Education course will need to provide a Customer ID number on their registration. To acquire your customer number call 602-942-3000 during business hours or visit accounts.azgfd.gov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Email azhuntereducation@azgfd.gov<\/a> with the student\u2019s name and mailing address, to obtain your home study material and directions. You will have three months to complete and return the workbook. If your records cannot be found, call the Hunter Education helpline or email our dedicated address at azhuntereducation@azgfd.gov<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n As a Volunteer Trapper Educator,<\/strong> you can volunteer for a very important role in our program. The public will look to you to demonstrate what it means to be a responsible and ethical trapper. You will be responsible for imparting the knowledge needed to help other trappers increase their trapping knowledge, improve skills and safety, and become informed custodians of Arizona wildlife resources. This is not a duty to be taken lightly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n One of the reasons that the suite of Arizona hunter education programs is successful is due to the commitment and devotion of you, the Volunteer Instructor, who supports it. We recognize that each Volunteer Instructor provides invaluable skills and expertise. They enable the AZGFD to provide the community with a wonderful opportunity and quality service.
